Brenda C. Doss-Harris, 80, went home to her Lord on Thursday July 25, 2024. She was born at home in Haysville Community of Macon County, TN on May 26, 1944, to the late Jim and Nettie Goad who preceded her in death.
Brenda was a 50-year member of Thompson Road Baptist Church and served as the church secretary for several years. She also taught a ladies Sunday School class for over 40 years. She was a teacher at Baptist Academy, where she also served as the high school academic coordinator. Brenda was an avid reader, loved to plant and tend to the flowers in her garden, and was a superb cook. She loved her family, but most of all, she loved the Lord.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 28 years Don Harris; son Eric (Danni) Doss; daughter Sonnie (Steve) Morrison and Lisa (Matt) Peck; grandsons Tyler Cox, Lake (Kate) Peck And Landon Peck; granddaughters Caroline (Todd) Oberle, Ave Doss; great grandson Joey Cox; great granddaughter Kylee Cox; brothers Dick Goad and Jimmy (Nancy) Goad; sister Jody (Sam) Oldham and many nieces and nephews, cousins and her beloved church family. She is preceded in death by her 1st husband Gerald (Butch) Doss; sisters Betty Law and Lucy Jones; brothers Curt Goad and Dub Goad; a sister-in-law Barb Goad and a grandson AJ Cox.
The family of Brenda Doss-Harris would like to express their deepest gratitude to the nurses and faculty in the IUC unit at St. Francis South.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 11:00 AM until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Brenda will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
