Mrs. Brenda Jean Kelley of Anderson, Indiana, passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Ascension St. Vincent-Anderson Hospital. She was 71. Brenda was born May 10, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late Clarence Hensley and Lena May (Groce) Mikesell.

Brenda attended Indianapolis Schools and after earning her GED, she devoted her life to rearing and caring for her family. She deeply loved each and every one of them. In her leisure time, Brenda enjoyed watching movies on television and listening to country music, especially that of Toby Keith. A gifted seamstress, she also enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Brenda is survived by her children, Kimberly Kay Kelley (fiance, Toby Upton) and Bart (BJ) Kelley; her stepchildren, Donald (Crystal) Kelley, Dale (Arlene) Kelley and David (Tracie) Kelley; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Karen Mikesell (fiance, Allan Soltermann) and Debbie Jasaitis; a brother Keith Mikesell; her former husband, Donald Kelley, Sr. as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her son, Chuck Bland.

A Memorial Gathering will take place from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143.
