Obituary

Bruce Edward Ruoff, 66, of Waverly, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. He was born January 27, 1950 in Indianapolis to Robert E. and Barbara A. (Johnson) Ruoff. Bruce was a graduate of Southport High School with the Class of 1968. and was the Indiana High School State Champion in diving that year. He graduated with a B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee in 1972. Bruce worked in the Transportation Division of Eli Lily for 35 years retiring in April 2008.He was a member of Southland Community Church. He was well liked and made a lasting impression on those he met. His greatest passion was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by all who know and love him.

Bruce married the former Nancy Caton and she survives him along with his mother, Barbara; sons Joshua (Lauren) Ruoff of Seattle, WA, Benjamin (Cassie) Ruoff of Green Bay, WI and Alex (Mary) Ruoff of Greenwood; daughter, Caitlin (Tyler) McGuigan of Fishers; sisters, Sandra (Wayne) Taubken of Fremont, Teresa (Lynn) Carlson of Scottsdale, AZ and Jennifer (Marc) Westfall of Indianapolis; 8 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions to Southland Community Church, 5800 W. Smith Valley Rd., Greenwood, IN 46142 or at www.southlandchurch.org in memory of Bruce Ruoff.
