Buddy Douglas Hoover, 76, of Fairland, Indiana, passed away June 10, 2017 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis. The son of Hubert D. and Versie L. Sneed Hoover, Buddy was born November 28, 1940 in Hartsville, Tennessee.

Buddy was an over-the-road truck driver. For 10 years, he worked for Kroger; then for the next 25 years, he worked for Consolidated Freightways, retiring in 2000. He was a member of Teamsters Local 135. Buddy enjoyed gardening and working in his yard; finding time to go fishing and was "a jack of all trades".

Buddy is survived by his wife, Deborah L. Lepper Hoover of Fairland, whom he married on March 3, 1979; son, Scott T. Hoover of Indianapolis; daughter, Mindy Lee Hoover (Jamie Inman) of Indianapolis; grandsons, Jaylen and Jayse Inman; brothers, Donald E. (Pat) Hoover of Indianapolis and Gary L. (Linda) Hoover of North Carolina; sister, Nancy Ann (Leslie) Lane of Beech Grove. In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Ann Tucker.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, to make memorial contributions in Buddy''s memory to St. Francis Hospice - 5255 East Stop 11 Road, Suite 245 Indianapolis, Indiana 46237.
