Mrs. Candiss Inezz "Candy" Harrison went Home to be with the Lord on the morning of Wednesday, April 13, 2022 after an extended illness. She was 74. Candy was born June 12, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late Clarence Robert Frye and Betty Marie (Durham) Fox.
Candy loved people and was an encourager, sending many cards to her family and friends over the years. She operated a cake shop from her home and it eventually grew into a partnership of E&L Cake and Candy in Greenwood by the mall.
Candy was a current member of Grace Assembly of God in Whiteland.  Throughout her life she was active in many areas of ministry including teaching Sunday School, and singing in the choir. She was a prayer warrior and loved to read her Bible.
Candy deeply loved her family and was a cheerleader for her children's and grandchildren's sporting events. She supported them and was always there for them. She was an excellent cook and will be remembered for the family dinners she prepared.
Candy is survived by her loving husband, Dorman C Harrison, her children, Annette (Jeff) Dahl and Joe (Julie Ann) Smock; her grandchildren, Mariah Dahl, Hope (Dylan) Neiman, Emily (Matt) Spaulding, Luke Smock, Beau Smock, Ashley (Jared) Hilligoss, Brienna (Eric) Spangle and Ciera Wathen; five great-grandchildren; her siblings, Dan (Shirley) Frye and Tom (Rose Garrett) Frye as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 18, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Pastor Daniel Jones officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Monday.
