Obituary

Carl N. Allinder, age 81, Indianapolis, passed away August 22, 2016. He was born November 14, 1934 in Riverside, CA to Horace N. & Margaret L. Chandler Allinder. He graduated from Hot Springs County High School, Class of 1956 in Thermopolis, WY; graduated from La Sierra College in California where he received his Bachelors Degree and received his Masters Degree from Andrews University in Michigan.

Carl served the Lord as a Minister for 20 years, and then enjoyed an insurance career with American General Life & Accident for 15 years.

Carl was a member and Past Master of Englewood Lodge, Past Patron of Englewood Eastern Star, member of Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Knights of Pythias, Indianapolis White Shrine, Order of the Amaranth, Indianapolis and Marvin Isley York Rite and Royal Order of Scotland and Knight York Cross of Honor.

He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie (Senn) Allinder; three sons, Brian Allinder ( Glenda) of West Lafayette, IN, Bruce Allinder (Valarie) of Colville, WA, Bradley Allinder of Los Angeles, CA; two daughters, Brenda Sullivan (Gerald) of Martinsville, IN; Bonne Sharp (Lon) of Lakeport, CA; grandchildren, Jessica (Blaze) King, Jocelyn Allinder, Jason Allinder and Michael Sharp all of CA and Cameron & Colin Allinder of West Lafayette, IN; two great-grandchildren, Ryker & Avonlea King of CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Joy, son Brent, brother Loren Allinder, sister Margaret (Margie) Allinder and grandson Gerald Aloysius Sullivan, III.

Memorial contributions may be made to Englewood Masonic Lodge #715 - PO Box 39063 Indianapolis, IN 46203. The family would like to say thank you to all the nurses and staff at University Heights Health & Living for their devoted care to Carl.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood,. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home, with an Order of Eastern Star Memorial service at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m.
