Carl Louis Long, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015. The son of Clarence L. and Mathilda Brunning Long, Carl was born July 1, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

A stone mason, Carl retired in 1992 after 25 years, owning and operating C. L. Long Masonry. He was a member of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple. Carl enjoyed fishing, gardening and keeping active doing activities around the home.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Norma M. Trusty Long of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Shelby Long, sisters, Kathryn Dreyer of Noblesville, Betty Zufall of Florida and Sand Cottrell of Ohio. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his son, Michael Long; brother, Stanley Long and sisters, Ruth Brown and Phyllis Miller.

Services 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
