Carl Junior Shaw, age 73, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Carl was born June 18, 1940 in Tompkinsville, KY to John Thomas and Bertha Alice (Spears) Shaw. He married Judith Welch on December 24, 1960 in Celina, TN and she survives him. Carl was a mechanic with Bryant Heating and Cooling and he also worked at Temple Rents. Carl was of the Baptist faith and he loved to tinker with small engines and shoot pool.

Carl is also survived by his daughters, Carla (Kelvin) Keene, of Indianapolis and Lacey (Emerson Petty) Braughton, of Indianapolis; sister, Christine (Andrew) Young of Scottsville, KY; four grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Amanda, Dustin and Kelvin; five great grandchildren, Mitchell, Jalen, Kyla, Amariana and Alexia; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with visitation from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Carl Shaw.
