Carlena Jane Sue Rogers Cox, 71, of Indianapolis, passed away January 1, 2014. The daughter of Ralph Rogers and Alta Jane (Rose) Rogers, Carlena was born December 21, 1942 in Indianapolis.

She was a 1962 graduate of Ben Davis High School. For 13 years, she was a machine operator with Diamond Chain and for three years worked for Deep Coat in Illinois.

Carlena is survived by her son, Steven B. (Sherri) Cox of Indianapolis; granddaughters, Kelli and Kristi Cox; brother, Don Halterman; sisters, Thelma R. Angell, Helen V. Danford, B. Iris Brittian, Mary I. Gilbert and Rita M. Durham; mother-in-law, Victoria Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Cox on December 16, 1999, whom she married on May 15, 1965 in Indianapolis; father, Ralph Rogers; mother and step-father, Alta Jane and Richard O. Goins and sister, Dinah J. Foust.

Funeral services 1:00 p.m. January 6, 2014 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. January 5, 2014 at the funeral home. Burial in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
