Mrs. Carol Gay Frye, Indianapolis, passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, February 12, 2026. She was 87 years old. Carol was born March 9, 1938 in Hazard, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Timothy and Milda R. Gay, Sr.

Carol had been employed as a seamstress for many years, working at clothing stores in downtown Indianapolis. She then had worked as a dietician.

Carol is survived by several extended family members and was preceded in passing by her parents, her husband, Roger J. Frye.

A funeral service will be conducted at 9:30 am, Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
