Carol E. Jones, 86, died November 15, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. She was a resident of Greenwood. She was born December 25, 1921 in Meridian, Mississippi. Her parents were Robert and Myra (Shrout) Brewer. She married Henry A. Jones in Meridian on June 20, 1943. He preceded her in death in 2000. Before retirement, she was employed by General Hospital, Indianapolis. A charter member of the Smith Valley Baptist Church, she was Pianist and later Organist for many years. Survivors include daughter Myra Harris of Indianapolis, son Bob and Carol Jones of Knoxville, TN, daughter Julie and Bill Kindle of Plainfield, grandsons Boyd and Becky Harris of Phoenix, AZ, Todd and Vickie Harris of Indianapolis, Scott Harris of Caledonia, MS, Ryan and Jennifer McGuire of Whiteland, Kelly and Erin McGuire of Watertown, New York, Greg and Courtney Jones of Knoxville, TN, one granddaughter, Jennifer Jones of Bloomington, and 6 great grandchildren, Zach and Austin Harris, Clark, Kate, and Caroline Harris, and Abigail McGuire. Services will be conducted at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call 5pm to 7pm Monday with services to follow.
