Carol Mcelyea (Koch) Mcelyea's Obituary
Carol McElyea, 72, of Greenwood passed away May 10, 2016. She was born November 27, 1943 in Indianapolis, IN to Wilbert and Hildagarde Koch.
Carol was an active member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church. She attended Ball State University and enjoyed traveling with friends, volunteering, TOPS club and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Carol is survived by her son, Brian (Tina) McElyea; daughter, Pam (Toby) Borders; brother, Ronald (Linda) Koch; grandchildren, Kristopher, Carter and Trinity; great grandchildren, Lane, Hutch and Steel and her best friend, Karen Merida.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, May 16 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. with Pastor Chad Ranson conducting a Celebration of Life Service at 7 p.m. in Mount Pleasant Christian Church, 381 N. Bluff Rd., Greenwood. Attire will be casual dress.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, 5635 W 96th St., #100, Indianapolis, IN 46278 OR the Humane Society of Indianapolis, 7929 N Michigan Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46268.
