Mrs. Carole Sue Wilson, Greenwood, passed away on the early morning of Friday, April 15, 2022. She was 80. Carole was born December 30, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana, one of nine children and the youngest of seven daughters born to John Raymond Devney and Leona (Yates) Inlow.
Carole was a graduate of Wood High School where she was a majorette in the marching band. She had been employed for many years as an administrative and legal assistant and retired from the Krieg DeVault Law Offices.
Carole loved being outdoors and working in her yard, caring for her flowers in particular. In her younger adult years, she enjoyed camping and all the adventures that go along with it. She also enjoyed going to Florida, reading and sports. She liked watching golf, the Indianapolis Colts and Indiana University sports on television. She was always ready to play a good game of Euchre with her family.
Carole was a member of Gracepoint Church in New Whiteland where she assisted in the bookstore. She loved her church family.
Carole is survived by her siblings, Martine Thibo, Judy Wylie, John R. (Carol) Devney and Pastor Jim (Carol) Devney as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her sisters, Ramona Gause, Glory McNulty, Donna Williams and patty Ambs.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. A graveside committal service will follow at 1:00 pm at the cemetery.
