Carolyn Sue Dickey, 73, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Carolyn was born on May 21, 1938 to the late Tolbert W. and Josephine E. (Thombleson) Breeden. She married her love Charles R. Dickey on December 18, 1965.
Carolyn was employed as a bookkeeper for 37 years for Crescent Paper Company and the last 6 years for Brylane. She loved to dance, make & collect crafts, travel, make jellies, and can vegetables. She especially enjoyed the Christmas season and gift buying. Carolyn was a 6 year member of the National Association of Railway Business Woman.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Chuck, of 45 years; step-daughter Sue Ann Tehan (Thomas); 2 brothers: Franklin Breeden (Phyllis) and William J. Breeden (Pauline); 2 sisters: Jill Mobley and Cindy L. Foster (Donald); 3 grandchildren: Lauren, Daniel, and John Tehan; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 30, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. The funeral service will be on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
