Carolyn Harris, Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025. She was 79 years old. Carolyn was born in Loogootee, IN to her parents Howard Wendell and Hazel Virginia Troth. She graduated from Southport High School, class of 1964. Carloyn also attended and graduated from Indiana Central Business College. Carolyn married her husband Michael Meek and shared 2 years of marriage until he passed away suddenly. Later, Carolyn married Gerald Harris and spent 11 years with him before he also passed away.
Carolyn enjoyed playing BINGO and solving puzzles. Carolyn had a difficult life due to her mental health conditions but rose above her struggles by maintaining her sense of humor and exuding kindness when she could.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Bill (Amber) Meek; her daughter-in-law, Marina Troth; her grandchildren, Justin Meek, Connor Meek, Lyla Meek, Kristina Troth; her great grandchild, Brennan Howard; her siblings, Linda (Jeff) Davis, Sharon Lee and Randy Troth; her sister-in-law, Sindy Troth; sister-in-law Cheryl Daniel
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael Meek; her husband, Gerald Harris; her son, David Troth; her brother, Gary Troth.
A visitation for Carolyn will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The funeral service will be on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 1:30 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 2:30 pm.
