Carolyn Louise Legan, Nineveh, IN passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. She was 79 years old. Carolyn was born in Winchendon, MA, to her parents Leon and Charlotte Taft. Carolyn married her husband, Richard Legan, on November 18, 1989, and they shared 36 years of marriage together.
Carolyn was a talented seamstress and supported her family through her dedicated work. Carolyn was a member of Fair Haven Christian Church for 45 years. Carolyn enjoyed crocheting in her free time; she loved giving out her projects as personal gifts to friends and family. She also loved to sit on her back patio and soak up the sun rays. Her backyard overlooked Princess Lake, and the serenity brought her great peace. Carolyn had a spit fire personality and a loving spirit. She was headstrong and never wavered from sharing her opinion. Carolyn will be forever cherished as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Richard Legan; her children, Scott Legan, Angula Creek, Richard (Trent Wisler) Legan Jr., Candy Legan, and Timothy (Stephanie) Legan; her many grandchildren; her many great grandchildren; her brother, Kevin Taft; her several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Jessica Legan; her sisters, Sandy and Lisa.
