IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn Mae
Mcpeak
February 26, 1942 – January 15, 2026
Mrs. Carolyn May McPeak, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on the early afternoon of Thursday, January 15, 2026. She was 83 years old.
Carolyn was born on February 26, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a beloved daughter of the late Harold James Gough and Ione Barbara (McAtee) Gough. She attended Arsenal Technical High School and devoted her life to her greatest calling—being a homemaker. With quiet strength and unwavering love, Carolyn created a warm and welcoming home where her family always came first.
A simple and gentle woman, Carolyn found her greatest joy in caring for others. She loved cooking, and her family fondly remembers that dinner was always on the table, prepared with care and served with love. Sundays were often spent on picnics with family, making memories that will be cherished for generations. She also enjoyed traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains, decorating her yard, and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Carolyn had a special love for animals, especially her beloved cat, Tyrone. To her nieces and nephews, she was affectionately known as "Caroly," a name that reflected the closeness and warmth she shared with them.
Carolyn is survived by her loving children: Robyn and her husband Timothy Joyce; Gail McPeak and her companion, Laura Sparks McPeak. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Amanda (Ferdinand) Lavigne, James Johnson, Brandy Fox, Erin (Josh) Garvey, Michael (Lindsey) Conley, Jaylen Joyce, Shane McPeak and Shaun McPeak, along with several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy in her life. She is also survived by her several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved son, Billy McPeak, whom she carried in her heart always.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until the time of service.
