Cecil Ray Hubbard, age 84 of Greenwood, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital of Beech Grove. Born October 16, 1924 in Burning Springs, Kentucky, he was the son of Ezekiel and Aliza Hubbard. On November 13, 1997, he married Helen Combs. Ray was a member of the Southwood Assembly of God. He retired as Chief Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force after 28 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Daughter Linda (Frank) Squires of Houston, DE., Step-sons, Everett (Lena) Combs of Trafalgar, Douglas Combs of Indianapolis, Lee Britt of Ocala, FL and Step-Daughter Barbara (Brad) Fraize of St. Cloud, Florida. Ray also is survived by 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, four sisters and step-son Dallas Britt. Rev. Keith Williams will conduct services at 2pm Thursday, February 26th at Southwood Assembly of God at 8700 S. Meridian Street, Indianapolis, 46217. Friends may call at the church from Noon until 2pm the day of service. Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens where a Military Graveside service will be conducted. Memorials may be made to the Southwood Assembly of God Missionary Fund.
