Chanie  R. Parrish, 89 passed away on Thursday October 26, 2023. He was born to the late Bernice and Audery Parrish.

He will be loved and always remembered by his family for his caring compassion for others and his commitment to a career with Ford Motor Company for over 50 years. In retirement, he enjoyed camping, gardening, working in his yard and spending time with his family.

Chanie had a passion for all sports and excelled from a young age in basketball, including a Tennessee State Record in a single game for scoring and playing for the US Army Special Service Division.

Chanie is survived by his wife Lorene for over 63 years; a daughter LeeAnn(Greg) Costelow;
his grandson Drew; four siblings Oletta Keown, Dorothy Lime, June Leikarts  and Stevenson Parrish. He is preceded in death by his son Mark, both parents and three siblings Bobbie, Juanita and Judy.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 3:00 to 4:30PM with a Celebration of Life beginning 4:30p at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Following the service, the family invites everyone to join in a dinner at Astral at Franklin (1375 Nicole Dr Franklin, IN). Burial will be a private service on Tuesday morning.
