Charles Albert Davis, 77, Indianapolis passed away February 16, 2008 at Community Hospital South, Indianapolis. He was born on May 13, 1930 in Indianapolis to the late Walter and Coful Davis. Charles graduated from Southport High School in 1949; he served in the United States Air Force during Korean Conflict. Charles was the owner of National Fire Extinguishers. He enjoyed playing golf and even shot a hole in one, he also enjoyed Indy car racing, NASCAR, IU basketball, Colts, old cars and family. He is survived by his two sons Charles, Chris (wife Sheila) and daughter Teri Smith; Five brothers Thomas, Paul, Emmett, Keith, Eugene; three sisters Pauline Stapert, Norma Anderson and Linda Watnes; seven grandchildren Jessica, Justin, Joshua, Christopher, Timothy, Jamie, Sarah; and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one sister; Ophelia Hopper, and one brother; Kenneth. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 21, 2008 from 4-8PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood. Funeral service will be Friday, February 22, 2008, 10:00AM at the Southside Church of Nazarene, 2447 E. Thompson Road, Indianapolis. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
