Charles E. Aikins, 73, passed away in St. Petersburg, Florida, on January 20, 2012. He was born in Indiana and was a retired firefighter for the Indianapolis Fire Department.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Betty A. Aikins; children Mike Aikins, Chris Aikins, Jackie Bullock, and Patty St. John; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Melba Thompson, brother-in-law Everett Thompson; and sister-in-law Mildred Aikins.
Services will be Monday, April 30, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Ben Franklin Mausoleum, Greenwood. He will be greatly missed by all.
