Charles M. "Chuck" Hobson, age 84, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Franklin United Methodist Community Center. Chuck was born December 13, 1929 in Lawrence County, IN to Earl M. and Rozenia (Phillips) Hobson. He was a U.S. Army Korean Conflict veteran and was a Machine Operator for Edgcomb Metals. Chuck loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and traveling in his RV.

Chuck married the former June Honea on August 17, 1952 and she survives him along with sons, Earl L. (Vickey) Hobson, Carl D. (Ann) Hobson and Albert M. (Shelly) Hobson; sisters, Irene (Gerald) Harrah and Gloria Clark; sister-in-law, Dorothy Hobson; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Albert M. Hobson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Franklin United Methodist Community Center, 1070 W Jefferson St, Franklin, IN 46131 with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to the Alzheimer''s Association, 50 E 91st St #100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
