Charles E. Grubbs, 85 passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, October 27, 2022. He was born to the late Henley and Valeria (McMichael) Grubbs.

Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a woodworker and enjoyed making wood toys for his grandchildren. Charles loved fishing and being outside. In the winter you would find him and Barbara at Cherry Lake, Fl.

Charles married the love of his life Barbara Roempke on October 13, 1962. He worked at Eli Lilly in the Transportation Department for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Barbara Grubbs; son Steve (Julie) Grubbs; daughter Debbie (Dan) Janik; grandchildren Eric, Hanna (Forrest), Ben, Nate and Amber and one great grandchild Reagan. Charles is preceded in death by both parents and siblings Wilbur Grubbs, Norma Smith, Alma Lane and Louise Stigall.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 2 from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Charles will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
