Obituary

Charles W. Hadley, 98, of Indianapolis passed away January 13, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Mary and daughter, Sue.

Charles was a Veteran of WWII and served in the Caribbean and Philippines. He crewed a supply boat and was Captain of a tug boat during his military service. He loved the water and finally bought a sailboat of his own in the 1970s and enjoyed sailing at Eagle Creek Reservoir with family and friends.

He was a claims adjuster for Indiana Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company and was employed there until he retired. After retirement, he enjoyed working on stained glass and building radio controlled model airplanes. He and his wife enjoyed many trips to San Diego to visit their daughter.

Charles was a man of faith. He was unselfish and cared more about others than himself. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed every day.
