Obituary

Charles "Charlie" William Miller passed away on December 17, 2020.  He was born October 26th 1935 and one of seven children born to The Late Raymond & Lavele Miller.

Charlie attended St. Philip Neri school for elementary, and graduated from Cathedral High School. He served in the United States Army for 2 years in Germany. He was a letter carrier for the US Postal service for 35 years. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of the Columbus. He was a Past Faithful Navigator of the 4th Degree, the Past Grand Knight of Fatima Council, and Former District Deputy. Charlie was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

He enjoyed playing cards, weekly Friday night get-togethers for card playing with his children, fishing (getting lines untangled for the grandkids), Euchre, and telling jokes. He always looked forward to volunteering for the Haunted Angelus House. He ran the Euchre club for the Knights of Columbus for 26-years. Charlie had a good time at the casino and working on puzzles. When at home he loved spending time by his fish pond and watching the birds with Sally. Charlie will be remembered for being a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, & great-grandfather, as well as for his humor.

Charlie is survived by his wife Sally of 62 years, their children; Susan (Richard) Hafley, Carl (Liz Miller), Margaret (Pat) Seats, Linda (Gerry) Torres, Carol (Scott) Conrad, Diane (Marty) Anderson, and Donna (Kevin) Brown, 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and siblings Margaret Miller, Jimmy (Loretta) Miller, and Johnny Miller.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his siblings George, Joanne, and Barbara.

Services will be held on December 26 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church 7241 E. 10th St., Indianapolis, IN. 46219. Visitation is from 9:30am - 11:00am, funeral mass at 11am.
