Charlotte Douthitt, 84, resident of Indianapolis, passed away in her home May 18, 2008. Charlotte was born in Indianapolis, on March 15, 1924 to the late Harry and Elizabeth Porter. She was married to the love of her life the late Kenny Douthitt for 58 years. Charlotte was the co-owner with her husband of Ace Lake Sand and Gravel and Ace Lake Fishing. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and playing rummy. She loved her grandchildren and animals. She is survived by her daughters Cheryl Watkins and Barbara Douthitt; four grandchildren Dawn, Toni, Jami and John; three great-grandchildren Marc, Austin and Jordyn; sister Helen Murray ; two sister in laws Dee Porter and Norma Porter; many nieces and nephew and loving friends. Charlotte was preceded in death by three brothers Howard Porter, Gilbert Porter and Harry Porter Jr. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 4-8 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN. Service will be on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. www.Forestlawncemetery-fh.com.
