Cheryl M. VanMeter, 69, of Beech Grove passed away January 22, 2017. She was born in Buffalo, NY on May 7, 1947.

Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, her cats and reading books.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James VanMeter and great grandson, Jaxon McLaughlin.

Cheryl is survived by her son, Keith (Heather) VanMeter; daughters, Dawn VanMeter, Lynn (Fiona) VanMeter and Amy (Daniel) McNeil; brother, Michael (Sue) Cioppa; grandchildren, Deanna Van Meter, Keith VanMeter Jr., Marissa VanMeter, C.J. Moore, and Brenda Moore and great grandchildren, Lillian Hudson, Izabelle McLaughlin, Odin Keller and Mia Moore.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm with a funeral service at 12:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
