Chester (Chet) Alexander Junken, 92, of Indianapolis passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord surrounded by his loving family on June 17, 2020.  He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 22, 1928 to Chester and Clara (Swickard) Junken.

Chet married his high school sweetheart, Joan (Allen) Junken, on October 19, 1947 and spent 71 wonderful years together before Joan's passing in March of 2019.  Together they raised four children (and many more "adopted" children).  Chet was a self-employed master carpenter who also enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and hunting. He loved the Lord with all his heart, and loved his family too.  Birthdays and holidays were always big celebrations with lots of food.  Chet was a sweet, gentle, kind-hearted man who will be greatly missed.

Chet is survived by his children, Dr. Steven (Cathy) Junken, Donald Junken, Becky (Skip) Pico, and Jane (Edward) Fokken; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jedidiah (Melissa), Ashley (Greg), and Clara; nephews, Bill (Sandy) Allen, Randy (Jill) Allen, David (Sara) Allen, Robbie (Jan) Allen, and Russell (Debra) Allen; and niece, Jackie (Jim) Bredle.

In addition to his parents and wife, Joan, Chet was preceded in death by his seven siblings; and son, Daniel Junken.
