Mrs. Christina Kay Dougherty, Whiteland, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, June 7, 2022. She was 68. Christina was born January 17, 1954 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a daughter of the late William Edward and Jessie Leona (Wilson) Bullock.
Christina attended Southport High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1972. She had been employed at Stoops Nationalease serving in the accounts receivable/payable department and retired after over 20 years of service. She was also a member of Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church.
Christina enjoyed crafting and playing cards, especially Euchre and she loved taking road trips to the beach with her family and sisters. Christina loved her family above all else especially her grandchildren and looked forward to the time they could spend together.
Christina is survived by her husband Jerry Dougherty; her children, William Shane (Jennifer) Dougherty, Brandon Dougherty and Angela (Peter) Foltz, her grandchildren, Lucas, Gabe, Abby, Ally, Hunter, Kathryn and Eryn; a great-grandchild, Bentlee; her siblings, Connie (Mike) Nelson, Roxanna Lagle, Rita (Paul) Hawk, Larry (Teresa) Bullock. Bill (Heidi) Bullock and Mark Bullock as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in passing by her sister, Kathy (Denny) McAfee.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 17, 2022 at German Park, 8600 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, 46217.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested those be offered to the American Cancer Society.
