Clara June Day, age 91, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away April 26, 2011. She was born July 23, 1919 in Indianapolis to Everett June "Pop" and Worthy Clara (McKinney) Lyle. She was a homemaker who loved and adored her grandchildren. She married Carlos Gilman Day and he preceded her in death in March, 1973. Clara is survived by her daughter Dorothy Carla Day (Michael D.) Jones; grandchildren, Clarissa Annette (Stephen) Hicks, Donetta Michelle (David) Dove, Ami Carleen (Justin) Gibson, and Jami Darleen (Mike) Strietelmeier; great grandchildren, Alexandrea, and Blake Hicks, Brent Michael, Brandon and Kirsten Dove, Brock, Luke Michael and Brody Gibson, and Drew, Kylie and Kaitlyn Strietelmeier. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Bernice Owens, Margarite Schafer, Dorothy Lyle and Olive Keefer, and one great grandchild, Luke Michael Gibson. Funeral services will be Friday, April 29 at 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with visitation from 4:00 until service time. Burial will be Saturday, April 30 at 9:00 AM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Ben Franklin Chapel.
