Obituary

Clarence Ray McNeely, Sr., 96, of Indianapolis, passed away November 16, 2014. The son of William L. and Faye L. Swift McNeely, Ray was born August 30, 1918 in Salem, Indiana.

A member of Crooked Creek Skeet Club, he was a champion skeet shooter, along with his uncle and skeet partner, Perry Swift. Ray was an avid hunter and fisherman, Ray enjoyed playing guitar, banjo and mandolin with the Silver Ranch Boys. In 1978, he retired from Navistar International.

Ray is survived by his son, Ray, Jr. of Indianapolis; his sister, Martha Turner of Rising Sun. Besides his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jane and sister, Dorothy Souder.

Services 1:00 p.m. November 20, 2014 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to service time. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
