Mr. Clarence Marvin Montgomery ("Monty") passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 22, 2025. He was 86 years old. Monty was born August 14, 1938 in Indianapolis, IN.

Monty had been employed by Creative Expressions, formerly Paper Art Company, in Indianapolis as a machine operator retiring in 1999 after 30+ years of service.

Monty served in the United States Air Force.

Monty enjoyed spending time with family. He loved playing softball and horseshoes and was a huge sports fan never missing a Colts or Pacers game. He had a great sense of humor.

He dearly loved his family and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Monty was always involved in his children and grandchildren's activities throughout the years and offered encouragement and support for the entire family. While he was a step-father to seven kids, he was always "Dad" and "Grandpa" and loved dearly.

Monty was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Montgomery and his daughter Sheryl Burton and is survived by his children Debra (Terry) Kelso, Rick Velandingham, Mark (Barb) Velandingham, Eric (Heidi) Velandingham, Tim Huber and Mike Huber, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm.
