Clarence "Mike" Racel, age 84, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015. He was born January 10, 1931 in Newport, KY to Clarence J. and Elizabeth H. (Ewing) Racel. Mike was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and later worked for many years with Progressive Plating as a Sales Manager. He was a member of Gray Road Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Mike was an avid golfer and a Colts, I.U. and Pacer fan. He will be very missed by all who know and love him.

Mike married the former Marcella Hubbell on May 15, 1999 and she survives him along with his son, Gary Racel of Douglas, AZ; step-son Randy (Kitty) Hubbell of Indianapolis; step-daughters, Patricia (Don) DeFemery, of Livermore, CA, Kathy Mitten of Zephyr Hills, FL, Deborah (Stan) Burris of Fishers, IN, Lori (Mark) Darland of Martinsville, IN and Brenda Hubbell; 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Karen Wright.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Contributions to the Gray Road Baptist Church, 5500 Gray Road, Indianapolis, IN 46237.
