Claudia Banker, Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. She was 67 years old. Claudia was born in Chillicothe, OH to her parents Claude Hubert Dougherty and Ruth Carol (Wilkins) Dougherty. She graduated from Franklin Central High School, class of 1974. Claudia married her husband, William, on August 11, 1979 and together they shared 44 years of marriage together.
Claudia worked as a kindergarten aid for MSD of Perry Township and retired in 2020 after 20 years of service. Claudia was a member of Christ United Methodist Church with her husband for 15 years. Claudia was always a woman of strong faith and grew to love her church family dearly. Claudia had a green thumb and enjoyed nurturing her plants, friends and family every chance she could. Claudia loved to spend time with her loved ones and will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Claudia is survived by her husband, William Banker; her children, Ginny (Anthony) Gillispie, Ruth (Nicholas) Brewer, Aaron (Heather) Banker, Seth (Evonda) Banker, and Luke Banker; her grandchildren, Madeline, Lillian, Annabelle, Alexander and Wyatt; her siblings, Darryl (Teri) Dougherty, David (Blaire) Dougherty, Doug (Betsy) Dougherty, Chuck (Debbie) Dougherty, Laura (Dave) Lividini, Lisa (Ed) Wilde; her multitude of nieces and nephews.
Claudia is preceded in death by her parents; her nephew, Ben Dougherty.

A visitation for Claudia will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Christ United Methodist Church, 8540 US 31 S, Indianapolis, IN 46227,  from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be at Christ United Methodist Church on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 9:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 10:30 am.
