Clessa Isabelle (Betty) Prosser, 83, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012. She was born on May 8, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late Clay and Lydia (Cramer) Landram. Betty is a 1946 graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. She married her love Mervin G. Prosser in October 1946.
Betty was an office administrator for Policeman & Fireman Insurance Company for many years prior to retiring in 1990. She enjoyed stamp and coin collecting and loved to travel. She was especially close to her family and will be sadly missed by all.
Betty is survived by her loving children: Stephen G. Prosser (Edna), Janie Patterson (David), and Peggy Prosser; 5 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; spouse Mervin Prosser; a brother; a sister; a step-granddaughter; and good friend D.C. Jack Dyer.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
