Clinton L. Branine, age 89, of Greenwood, went to his Heavenly Home on Thursday, September 10, 2015. He was born in La Junta, CO on June 12, 1926 to Everett and Elaine (Dunn) Branine. He attended Colorado Christian University and the Denver Seminary. Clinton was the former President at Indiana Baptist College from 1975 to 1991 and Pastor of Suburban Baptist Church from 1968 to 1991.. He was a church planter and founding Executive Officer of Baptist World Mission. He was a Board Member of several Christian Educational Institutions. He held two Honorary Doctorate of Divinity degrees. Clinton served his country honorably during WWII as a B-17 pilot in the Army Air Corps from February of 1944 to January of 1947. He loved his church, his family and his country. A huge gap will be left in the hearts of those who know and love him and the students that he taught.

Clinton married the former Mildred Munk in Freeport, IL on June 20, 1948 and together they built a legacy that included not only the church but his family. He is survived by his wife, Mildred, daughters, Beverly (Eddie) Meshaw of Wilmington, NC and Elaine (Samuel) Harbin of Manheim, PA; sister, Jean Beaver of Denver, CO, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Stephen and Rodney Branine; brother, Milton Branine and grandson, Clint Robertson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Suburban Baptist Church, 722 E County Line Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46227 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Baptist College Student Scholarship Fund.
