Clinton Lowery Jones, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away August 29, 2014. The son of Samuel A. and Phyllis J. (Poffenberger) Jones, he was born September 2, 1929, in Indianapolis.
Clint''s career started as a delivery boy with Brown's Pharmacy, which lead him to graduate from Drake University (Des Moines, IA) as a Pharmacist. After serving in the US Army in Korea immediately after the war, he returned to work for Kunkel''s Pharmacy, Hooks Drugs, and in 1991, retired from CVS Pharmacy. Clint was a member of Old Bethel United Methodist Church and was an usher with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Clint enjoyed spending time with his four granddaughters.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Peggy (Oakes) Jones; sons, Scott (Jenny) Jones and Randy (Amy) Jones; brother, Robert Jones and granddaughters, Katelyn, Emily, Zoe and Sabrina Jones, all of Indianapolis.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. September 6, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church - 8540 East 16th Street, with a fellowship gathering to follow from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
