Cloyd T. Thompson, 93, of Greenwood, passed away September 30, 2014. Born January 18, 1921 in Parke County Indiana, he was the son of the late Arthur and Emma (LaVue) Thompson.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army WW II. He retired from Citizens Gas Company in Indianapolis in 1984, where he served as Senior Vice President. Cloyd was a member of Southport Christian Church and a member of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Safety Patrol for over fifty years.

He is survived by a son, Jerry (Diane) Thompson; two daughters, Diane (Larry) Johnson, and Karen (Joe) Dalton; a brother, Art Thompson; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lelia (Seybold) Thompson; parents, sisters, Virginia Newbold and Geneva Yount.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South S.R. 135, Greenwood, IN. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
