Clyde Spaulding, 84, of Rockville, IN, died Sunday, September 28, 2008. He was born on August 5, 1924 to Leroy and Mary Ann Hider Spaulding. He is a veteran of the United States Navy where he was awarded a Victory Medal and Asiatic Pacific Ribbon. He was employed with International Union of Operating Engineers as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the VFW, AMVETS, American Legion and the ELKS. He also worked with the Veterans Affairs Voluntary Service Program. Survivors include 2 sons: Dannie (Patricia) Spaulding, Gary (Barbara) Spaulding, daughter: Deborah (Jerry) Engel, brother: Jack Spaulding, sisters: Esther Womack and Mary Black, 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grand children. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 3, 2008 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. St. Rd. 135, Greenwood, IN.
