Clyde Glenwood West, Jr., age 92 of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012. He was born October 27, 1919 in Portland, IN to Clyde G. and Edith West. Clyde graduated from Kokomo High School with the Class of 1937. He was a Master Machinist for many years working for various companies like Link Belt, Bemis Bag, and Allisons. He was a member of Meridian Church of God of Anderson for many years. Clyde loved to sing and he enjoyed his flower garden. He loved to spend time with his family and he will be sorely missed by all whom he knew and loved.
He married the former Dorothy Merrick on January 30, 1938 and she preceded him in death on December 1, 2004. Clyde is survived by his sons, Paul Glenn (Linda)West, Mark Allen (Cherl) West; daughters, Peggy Joan (Glen) Weiland and Patricia (Robert) Mundy; seven grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Meridian Church of God of Anderson, 7800 S. Meridian Indianapolis, IN 47217.
