Connie M. Garland, age 67, of Greenwood, passed away October 7, 2015 with her family at her side. She was born October 1, 1948 in Indianapolis to Max C. and Iola W. Flanigan. Connie was a graduate of Southport High School with the Class of 1967. She was a fantastic gardener who loved to do arts and crafts. She adored hummingbirds and the Smokey Mountains. She was a member of South Keystone Church of Christ.

Connie married James Garland on September 10, 1977 and he survives her along with her daughter, Julie (Donn) Cross of North Vernon; brother, Vic (Vickie) Flanigan of Scottsdale, AZ; sister, Leslie Flanigan of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Courtney, Zachary and Cody Cross. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at South Keystone Church of Christ 3803 S. Keystone Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227 with Ken McClain officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
