Damon B. Meredith, 89, Mooresville, passed away peacefully in his sleep Aug 26, 2013. Born in 1923 at Mammoth Cave, KY, he was preceded in death by wife, Virginia Ruth Crain Meredith; brother, Leslie Woodrow; and sister Rethel Jean Fiscus. He is survived by wife Martha Turner Meredith; sister Reta Moffett; brother Myron (Buck); son Dennis; daughters Phyllis Steele, Janice Scott, and Sandra Rodenberg; stepsons Tim Turner and Dan Turner; stepdaughters Janet Turner and Polly Shingleton; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

During WWII he served as Staff Sergeant with the US Army in Italy. He was a career employee of Diamond Chain Co. He was a long time member of Emmanuel Church of Greenwood.
