Daniel William Hoagland, Jr., age 73, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013. He was born March 21, 1940 in Indianapolis to Daniel and Berniece Lowden Weir Hoagland.

He married the former Ruth Ann Bateman on September 12, 1970 and she preceded him in death on August 19, 2013. Daniel was a Tool Pre-Setter at Peerless Pump for 32 years, retiring in 1997. He attended Landmark Baptist Church and he made clocks and worked on and restored automobiles.

Daniel is survived by his sons, Warren Scott (Cristie), David William (Doreen), Darrell Allen (Melody) Hoagland, Carl Brent (Rhonda) Liford; brother, Daniel Richard Hoagland; sister, Gloria Lou Hoagland; ½ sisters, Virginia Allshaffer, Betty Hoagland and Dolly Weir; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted Monday, November 25, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
