Rev. Daniel E. Karch, 60, of Acton, Indiana, died Saturday, December 18, 2010. Dan was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on April 5, 1950. Dan worked for 20 years at the Indianapolis Star and News. After that he worked at Brylane/Red Cats. Dan received his associate''s degree at IUPUI, bachelor degree at Indiana Wesleyan University, and his master degree in Divinity at Asbury Theological Seminary. Dan severed as pastor at Mt. Olive Christian Church in Peoga, IN and Trafalgar United Methodist Church at one time. He did missionary work in Haiti and Africa. He attended the Indian Creek Christian Church. Dan was a member of the Masonic Lodge #134 Pleasant View, and the Shiners. He had his pilot license. Surviving is his mother: Marjorie R. Karch. One sister: Ruth A. Karch. One nephew: Irvin Kamman. One niece: Rebecca Gurley. Three aunts: Pat Evans, Eileen Owens, and Mary Anderson. He is preceded by his father, Ralph Karch and a sister, Hazel Kamman. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 pm till time of service at 8 pm at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143.
