Dannie Ray Lyles, 72, of Greenwood, passed away March 27, 2017. The son of Everett and Bertha Mae Owens Lyles, Dannie was born June 15, 1944 in Scottsville, Kentucky.

He retired in 2009, after 42 years of service from CSX. Dannie loved to go hunting for deer and turkey and fishing; camping and boating at Racoon Lake, Cataract Lake and Lake Melissa and shooting his guns.

Dannie is survived by his wife, Robbie D. Lyles, whom he married on July 18, 1964 in Indianapolis; daughter, Cindy L. (Michael) Hopkins; son, Brian D. (Tara) Lyles; niece, Antonia Munoz; brothers, Charles (Delores) and David Lyles; sister, Luann Allen; brother-in-law, David Constant; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson. In addition to his parents, Dannie was preceded in death by brother, Billy Joe Lyles and sisters, Joyce Brand, Brenda Constant and Barbalene Lyles.

Funeral services 11:00 a.m. March 31, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. March 30th at the funeral home Burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
