Danny Wayne Smither 70 of Mooresville, IN. passed away in Ft. Myers, FL on December 25 ^th , 2021

Danny was born on August 17, 1951, to the late William and Mary (Galey) Smither and graduated from Speedway H.S in 1969. He married Janet (Murphy-Cassity) Smither on March 10 ^th , 1985, in which, they were happily married 37 years.

Danny was employed by ITT Hoffman, Von Duprin, and Navistar. He was a lifetime member of American Legion, VFW, UDT Seals and U.S. Navy Beach Jumpers. Danny was an E4 in the US Navy and served our country from 1969 to 1975. He was stationed on the USS New Orleans and USS Comstock.

Danny aka DanTana, had a passion for all music. He taught himself how to play a guitar at a young age. His amazing guitar talent led him to play in several great bands in Indiana, Illinois, and Florida.

Danny is survived by his wife Janet Smither; Sons: Jason (Lauren) Smither and Chad (Jessica) Cassity; 6 Grandchildren: Whitney (Kolin), Madison, Chad II, Savanna, Chloe, and Conan; 1 Great Granddaughter Kingsley, Sister Nancy Kinnett, Brothers: William (Penny) Smither, Michael (Jeanne) Smither and Doug (Sharon) Smither.
