Darrel Gale Towles, 95, of Greenwood, went to be with his Savior on February 5, 2020.  He was born in Arkansas City, Kansas January 14, 1925 to Lester and Fern (Moreland) Towles.  Darrel was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps.  He married Pauline Crawford June 20, 1946.  He was retired from Citizens Gas Company of Indianapolis.

In addition to his parents, Darrel was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline; sister, Wyvonne Winter; brothers, Clifford Towles and Glen Towles; and daughter-in-law Patty Towles. He is survived by his three children, Max (Becky) Towles of Whiteland, Diana (Robert) Ward of Austin, Texas, and Phillip (Joanna) Towles of Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Darrel loved his family, his church family at Southeast Baptist Tabernacle and playing guitar with his Thursday night band.

Thursday, February 13, 2020 a visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and the funeral will begin at 1:30 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana 46143
