Darrell Lee Morris, Sr., 76, of Indianapolis passed away May 4, 2021.  He was born October 10, 1944 in Los Angeles, California to the late Kenneth and Thelma (Lowe) Morris.

Darrell was a proud Marine veteran who served in Vietnam from 1964 to 1967.  When he was discharged from the military, he went to work for Amtrak as a pipefitter and retired after 30 years with them.  While he was working at Amtrak, he also had a side business as a contractor.  In his spare time, he enjoyed time with his wife, Jackalyne (Beggs) Morris.  Together they maintained their gardens, visited casinos, played in their euchre club, and traveled on cruises.  Darrell would do anything for anyone, he had a heart for helping people, and he will be missed.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Jackalyne; children, Jerald Morris, Darrell Lee Morris, Jr., Lisa (Beth) Stevenson, and Rodney (Donna) Johnson; grandchildren, Zach, Creighton, Chad, and Amber; and great grandchildren, Aiden and Aaron.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his siblings.

Family will receive friends Friday, May 14 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143, with service beginning at 2:00pm.  There will be military honors at the graveside following the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association: www.alz.org .
