Mr. David Robert Broady, Greenwood, passed away on the early afternoon of Thursday, August 28, 2025. He was 82 years old. David was born December 12, 1942 in Beech Grove, Indiana, the only son of the late Robert Emerson and Mabel June (Mills) Broady.
As a youth, David was extremely involved in Boy Scouts, achieving his goal of becoming an Eagle Scout. David attended and was a graduate of Emmerich Manual High School and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Indiana University. He spent most of his career as a human resources professional with AFNB/JP Morgan Chase Bank, working his way up from the mail room to a HR Vice President.
He was a member of the Garfield Christian Church, where he had served as a deacon and was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, leisurely Sunday drives, IU sports, racquetball, old cars at Dog N Suds and fast cars, especially Corvettes. He took great pride in being a caregiver for his wife during her illness.
David is survived by his spouse, Sandie (Roberts) Broady; his children, Candie Brody (husband, Matt Armstrong), Kim (husband, Mark) Dancheck and David (Brooke) Broady; his grandchildren, Zack, Rachel, Grace, Cady, Megan, Cameron, Macie and Cole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by his son, Parrish Emerson Broady.
There are no public services scheduled at this time and he will be entombed at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
