David “Dave” M. Such, 66, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born to the late Edward and Ida Such.

Dave was a BIG PURDUE FAN, and his love for Purdue was something he proudly shared with everyone around him. Whether cheering on the Boilermakers or talking about the latest game, Purdue was always close to his heart. Dave also enjoyed NASCAR, classic rock music, sitting and watching the fire by their firepit, as well asthe simple pleasures of life. One of his favorite places to be was sitting on the back deck with his wife, Mary, listening to his music and enjoying the moment. Dave had a green thumb and took pride in growing his own cayenne peppers. He was also known for making a great pot of chili—something his family and friends always appreciated and enjoyed.

Dave will be remembered for the love of his family, his passion for Purdue, love of music, hobbies, and the simple pleasures of life.Dave is survived by his wife of 33 years Mary Such; son Steve (Chrissy) Such; stepsons Chad (Rose) Myers and Andrew (Heather) Myers; grandchildren Jackson Such, Zayne Myers, Elijah, Leiah and Caleb Napier; sisters Karen (Bill) Such-LaRose and Dawn (John) Cimmerman; brothers Christopher (Patty) Such, James (Tara) Such and Thomas (Susan) Such and a sister-in-law Terri Such.He is preceded in death by both parents and two brothers Michael and Samuel Such.

A visitation will be Friday, September 25,2026 from 12:00 pm until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Dave will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
